What is Mappathon

The first section of PIEMONTE VISUAL CONTEST is a contest called Mappathon and realized in collaboration with Bruno Kessler Foundation.

Mappathon provides for the creation of maps and/or progects, based on OpenStreetMap, that use mainly GeoData (such as Website, apps, handbooks or prototypes). The maps must be focused on Piedmont area, using Open Data to create projects of public interest.

The contest was launched in October 2014 and the deadline to submit their projects is the 9th February, 2015.

During the contest, some training events and webinars are planned to explain the main mapping tools and the creation of custom maps.
