Coldiretti Torino and UE Coop launch the special prize #COLturadigitale for Mappathon.
The prize will be awarded to the best project that will enhance the culinary excellence of the territory, with the aim of attracting tourists and encouraging them to discover the products and hospitality available within the province of Turin. The aim is to promote the creation, in view of Expo 2015, of a digital instrument that is attractive, innovative and adaptable to a variety of travel requirements, complete with a comprehensive range of information to help explore the territory.
What to map and achieve?
The project will effectively represent the highlights of the Campagna Amica circuit in the province of Turin: markets, working farms, educational farms, shops, restaurants, traditional and organic ice cream shops and hospitality farms that prioritise the quality of their products, respect for the land and the people that work for them, and a direct relationship with consumers. It will also extend to include several companies and agricultural cooperatives that deal with social farming
The proposal will have to take into account the logistics and movement of people coming from Italy and abroad, during the event: the map should incorporate information on the organisations that are part of the Campagna Amica circuit, indicating the availability of public transport, bike sharing, bike rental, car rental, etc…
An important element is the attention paid to facilitate the inclusion in wine tasting tours also of people with temporary or permanent special needs, such as mothers with strollers and small children, people with food allergies, people with sensory disabilities (such as the blind and visually impaired) and with motor disabilities of varying severity.
The best project will be awarded a weekend for two people at La Bedina Rivara hospitality farm (www.agriturismocanaveselabedina.it) which is part of the circuit Campagna Amica Coldiretti.
